Motivation is the driving force behind student engagement. Students who lack motivation struggle to become, remain, or initially be engaged in learning (Parrish, 2022). Although they are distinct, motivation and engagement are interdependent. Without motivation, there is no engagement, and without engagement, sustained motivation is unlikely (The Avanti Team, 2024).
